I love the simpleness of ''Make Love'' and ''Emotion. They give me the same feeling of satisfaction as ''Voyager'' or ''Something About Us'' on Discovery does. Superb tunes!

Beautifully disturbing. It works a lot better if you don't expect a dance album. Fits far better into the Boards of Canada niche.

I think a lot of people don't understand they were going for this kind of sound. They weren't trying to level up to Homework and Discovery. [from Wikipedia] Bangalter has stated that the album is an attempt to discover where human feelings reside in music. He later commented that "we felt like the third album was about this feeling of either fear or paranoia... [The record is] not something intended to make you feel good" They were trying to make a point and I understand what they were getting across. You get through the album and I totally understand why some people don't like it but I treat every album by any artist, it's own entity. I do not compare. It's unfair because you go in with expectations. I find this album to be great in it's own right. It has this mechanical feeling to it and that is one of the many reasons I love it!

"Plus: listen to Alive 2007 and you know Human After All is not Crap After All. " you shouldnt have to listen to an album that came out 2 years after this one to appreciate it. The album on its own two legs blows, and it was a disappointment when it came out in 2005.

I agree with m-salami, saying 'I'm fed up with people who think that DP=Discovery. This album is great.' I have to say when started listening Discovery first, Homework and Human After All are different. At first I thought about Rollin' & Scratchin', 'WTF is this.' But when you listen more and more, you hear how awesome it is. Human After All is different, not worse.

Perhaps I'm a bit biased as this is my first full-length introduction to Daft Punk, but is it me or is Human After All not a spectacularly underrated piece of work? And incredibly misunderstood at that? One of the most poorly judged albums in recent memory.

This album was definitely disappointing for me. I guess I expected more from them. Human after all, Emotion, and some others are definitely catchy, but that's about it. Then it all just goes in an infinite loop. Imo of course.
