it's no more out of place than any other 'intermission' track that's just a couple minutes of weird sounds or whatever bands decide to do to fill space on an album. at least they decided to do something cool, and made their a drum solo. their drummer is actually pretty good, so it works. personally, i think it's pretty fucking neat, but i pay a lot of attention to drums in music in the first place, so it's not hard for a track with just drums to hold my attention. if you're used to focusing entirely on the melodies and vocals and whatnot, yeah, this is probably something you skip.. but not i.

This is the most ridiculously out of place song on VAMPIRE SAGA. What were they thinking. Besides, I've done a better drum solo on my guitar.
