Last week we dropped the download and video to Impala Music and the response has been pretty damn good. I'm not going to sit here and give you the rapper speak lying about downloads and views, but I won't lie I have been pleasantly surprised.  Whats even more amazing is that some amazing producers are cranking out dope remixes with a passion.  You can listen to and download all of them on our Soundcloud Impala Music page, but i'll share a few of them right here.

First Mr. Slap Rapz himself, Cientifiq, brought the horns out and blew this remix away:

Technology is crazy, its amazing what you can do with cellphone cameras, besides sending bukkid nekkid pics on twitter. We saw artist like Paul Wall and Lower Life Form capture their full length videos with an Iphone. Even the fam DA 1 UNV is experimenting with video on his Sprint Evo 4g, so I figured why not take a chance and see what we could come up with.  This whole video was shot on the Droid X cellphone, edited in Sony Vegas and I think it looks as good as videos we've done on much more expensive cameras.  We simply hooked it up to the GPS window holster and turned it around for the car shots, and had assistance from the Vainglorious C-Hova (featured in the cookie monster shirt,) for the other shots.  Check it out and leave a comment below, let us know how you like it.

This right here is riding music, in fact I've been riding along to this track for weeks, but I've had the beat to this for months.  Earlier in 2010 the homie E.P. of The Dopplegangaz dropped his beat tape " Rhyme Over Beats," and this was one of the beats I just had to rhyme over.  This is less about the fact that both Crew54 members drive Impalas, but more about releasing something smooth that anyone can vibe with.  We also shot the video, which should (and I stress "should") be out near the end of the week, so check out for it.  Also, the acapella is available so any  producers who like to remix that heat, go ahead and work it out...we've already gotten some submission and it just dropped yesterday.

Transmission Entertainment is bringing live Hip-Hop to Free Week Tuesday Jan. 4th at Red 7 with live performances from Crew54, Riders Against The Storm, Kill City, The Means, & more.  Free week is the annual jump off of the year, where lots of clubs in the Red River district open up their doors for free with plenty of great shows.  This is one of the only Hip-Hop shows I've seen, and I think its going to be a great way to start the year off, no bias. In fact don't take my word for it, check out what the A.V. Club said about it.

Among the acts helping to establish Central Texas’ hip-hop clout, few hustle harder than Crew 54 and Riders Against The Storm.

 It's going to be a great event, and we'll have some surprises for yall.  Let's get 2011 started off with good music and good fun.
