Il est à noter que Covenant restera célèbre pour ses faces B toujours très créatives ( bien souvent + marquantes que les singles ) sinon totalement hors-normes & + rebelles que beaucoup de ces nouveaux groupes » hype » de Manchester !
Le premier album Dreams of a Cryotank est bien entendu à posséder pour tout adepte sérieux d’electro, suivi de la séquelle Sequencer, de l’essai Europa, du très retors United States of Mind pour finir avec le glacial Northern light et enfin,& bien sûr, l’ironique Skyshaper…
History:
In the late 1970s and early 1980s, electronic music and several of its subgenres became a preferred musical style among European underground culture. It gained favor initially within major cities and eventually trickled into the continent’s more socially secluded regions. This new wave of music was discovered at different instances by a group of young friends living among the shadows of Helsingborg, a scenic municipality in southern Sweden. Eskil Simonsson, Joakim Montelius, and Clas Nachmanson, three teenagers with mutual, youthful curiosities for science, philosophy, and matters of existence, were enthralled by the unique presentation and the emotional content offered through the music, specifically by that of bands such as Kraftwerk, The Human League, and by EBM pioneers Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb.
The friends carried this fascination with them to university life in Lund, a municipality lying approximately 50 kilometres (32 miles) southeast of Helsingborg.

actually, The Kovenant are pretty good - the original In Times Before the Light was a bit of a non-event, but every other album they've done is good. And actually if you listen to their Animatronic album, and the song Cybertrash from the S.E.T.I. album you will find they actually have a fair bit of EBM influence. although i'll admit, i do prefer the Swedish Covenant. but even so, just because you prefer one, does not make the other one not worth listening to.

Kovenant (the one who came after the real Covenant) is not worth listening to, whether they have the name The Kovenant or Covenant. FUTUREPOP/EBM/ELECTRO is far better, and Eskil's Covenant actually has talent.
