I like that this exists, but I never want to hear it again. Gets good around 38:00.

@withered_fairy: definitely not. I know a song by a stoner doom-band ("Dopesmoker" by the band Sleep), and that song is even about 60 minutes long. :-O hmm never heard of this song here before would like to give it a try.

"This particular track was made by playing the same loop with 3 very similar, but slightly altered sounds. The Absynth allows the user to decide the amount of polyphony (the number of keys or "voices" that can be played at the same time). When it runs out of voices it will try to "steal" voices from itself, which makes it repeat things in a semi-random way, or if too stressed it will simply reset itself and start over from the beginning. While messing around with the settings I noticed that it sounded quite similar to early minimalist music, especially Steve Reich. So the inclusion of "Subterfugue for 3 Absynths" is simply a little peek into a part of our musical world that you guys very rarely get to hear. By doing things like this we find new ways to make pop music, get new ideas for how to use sound and try out what works and what doesn't work." quote explaining this track by Joakim Montelius

How they combine the superficial monotony of this track with subtle variations is absolutely great. This track is a killer. Period.
