Thu 29 May – Dream Evil, Conquest of Steel

My second visit to The Underworld in the space oof two weeks. After seeing Blaze Bayley supported by Voodoo Six on the 16th of May I decided to come back there as soon as possible. And there was the opportunity to do so and see Dream Evil supported by Conquest of Steel. And below are my impressions.

The atmosphere
The club was packed. There were slightly more people than on Blaze's show (I will compare those two here and there) with youngsters in majority, as well as greater presence of ladies. Too be honest, I was surprised to see so many people knowing Conquest of Steel (even more than Voodoo Six on the previous show). In addition to the atmosphere, more beer was drunk and there was a great number of casualties among the beerglasses.

The technical side
Not a bad word can be said about it. The organisation was spot on again. Everything was exactly as it should be. The sound was good - loud (but not too loud, although I'm a bit deaf again) but clear, the lightning was good as well. …

It occurred to me a while ago that I have seen quite a few bands in my gig-going career, but don't have a comprehensive list of them all. So, here's my attempt to do so. I'll leave out bands I paid no attention to, and no doubt I will miss out a few local bands as well.

The time has come when boredom has reached high enough levels to make me write pointless lists.

This seems ample opportunity to update my "bands I've seen Live" list whilst disguising "showing off" as "being productive". Huzzah.
