Does not sound like alt-country. I can hear Guided by voices or even Sebadoh in some of their songs. But what's most important: they're fuc*ing cool!

Review of Dual Hawks at Webcuts Centro-Matic sound like any competent Friday night Southern bar band. It's accessible, earnest, rousing rock and roll –- mildly anthemic but without any flash and firework.

I noticed there isn't a link to south san gabrial, which is will johnson's other band and the last release is just as good as any cento-matic albums
