Cathedral est un groupe anglais de doom metal/stoner metal fondé au début des années 1990 par Lee Dorrian, ex-chanteur du groupe Napalm Death et par Mark Griffiths. Le groupe est considéré comme un des groupes à l’origine du stoner doom, notamment en raison de son premier album Forest of equilibrium, au rythme très lourd et très lent, dans lequel Lee Dorrian développe un chant plaintif .
