Get rid of the capitals. lastfm. It's Caterwaul, not CATERWAUL.

Actually, "The Nature of Things" was released on CD in limited release. I have the entire Cater-collection and make dubs when requested. Contact: LostArtsMusic@aol.com

The Nature of Things has never been, AFAIK, issued on CD, which is a damn shame. There are copies of vinyl and cassette on ebay from time to time; alas I do not have a record player for decades now.

Does anyone happen to have The Nature Of Things? It's ridiculously hard to track down.

To be fair though, I should give them credit for actually carrying an album this obscure, in a city as small as Växjö, Sweden. To whom it may concern: thank you :-)

I bought "Portent Hue" back in '90 because the store had tagged it something like "if you like Sisters of Mercy [which I did] you're going to love this album" (I know, right?). I rarely listen to Sisters nowadays, but I still love that album.

I remember reading a tiny article on them in Melody Maker, then finding a cheap cut-out copy of Pin And Web in a Cambridge record shop. Still couldn't believe how good they were. Have managed to get cd copies of both albums since. I'm dead jealous of lyle175 seeing them live. I doubt they ever came to the UK.

My dad knew Betsy's dad (they worked in the same industry), but I didn't discover them until last year shuffling through his CD collection. I'm really glad I did because I love them just based on that one CD. I wish their other material wasn't as difficult to find, though.

Growing up in Phx in the 80s, I saw them live several times in tiny clubs. Fantastic! Never met anyone outside Phx who knew them tho. How'd u find them?

I don't know. They're simply amazing, and definitely deserved a lot more exposure than they got. I love Portent Hue.

Why is this band so obscure?
