New to Carbon Leaf? The band is offering a FREE 18 song sampler of their music right now available through NoiseTrade: http://www.noisetrade.com/carbonleaf/the-noisetrade-sampler Includes a couple tracks of their new album as well as some live 'official bootleg' recordings!

They're ok. Listening to them for the firs time. First thing that came to mind: Some kind of weird celitic/irish style crosses over with Greenday? Eh. Not bad.

this is the one of two bands that i can always listen to and there songs never get old on me. with more plays there music does not get stale, it gets better. the other band is great big sea, which chances are if you love carbon leaf you will love great big sea just as much. contrary to what alot of people say on here, yes indian summer and echo echo are two albums that can not be topped, but there new stuff is just as good especially "how the west was one". the bottom line is, carbon leaf is the one band which i like, more like love, EVERY song they made.

I've only recently discovered Carbon Leaf and, on the strength of "Lake Of Silver Bells", I ordered both 'Nothing Rhymes With Woman' and 'Indian Summer' on CD. The record-label sticker on 'Nothing Rhymes...' states: "Recommended for fans of O.A.R., Guster, (and) Gomez". What? O.A.R.? Really?... O.A.R. is a "jam band"; but I would never classify Carbon Leaf as such. Personally, I've never been able to enjoy any music of that genre. I even went to a Grateful Dead show; maybe, somehow, someway - I was missing something. Well, I am now... ...I'm missing the 4+ hours of my life that I spent among the "Deadheads". Okaaaaay... ...I'm kidding! Actually, I enjoyed myself; though Jerry himself couldn't sway me toward the "cult-of-jam". It just didn't do anything for (or to) me. The grilled-cheese "parking lot" sandwiches, patchouli, and nitrous balloon-hits on the other hand...
