There are two artists listed as « Cage » :
Chris Palko, better known by his stage name Cage, is an American rapper from New York City. He has released three studio albums and two extended plays. Cage is also the founder of the underground hip-hop supergroup called the Weathermen.
Cage is an American heavy metal band from San Diego, California.
An album was recorded already in 1995, but it was never released and so their debut came in 1998 with the album « Unveiled », six years after the band was created. Since then the band has released four more albums, all of them got great responses in Europe but less in their homecountry.
In 1999 Cage won the rock hard best-unsigned band contest in competition with 600 other bands and were rewarded with the possibility to play at the DYNAMO festival the same year. After a brilliant performance there they were selected to play the prestigious WACKEN Open Air Festival in Germany and the metal dayz Open Air Fes-tival in Switzerland. CAGE was able to hone their live skills in front of huge crowds on a consistent basis by opening for Iron Maiden, Dio, Judas Priest, Dokken, etc.
Their album « Darker Than Black” was hailed as an instant classic by many of the metal industry leading magazines and webzines and finished in the #1 position on the HEAVY Soundcheck chart list.

lol, how can you have an opinion on Cage material pecking order when you haven't heard... Porn Again, For Your Box or Nighthawks? Also, Weatherproof had two skippable songs, messed up its standing. Hell's Winter has some of Cage's best material and no songs that are completely bad.

It is his second best album. It's a different style than MFTB but I mean, the guy got off of PCP and had a different outlook on the world. Of course, you're probably one of those idiots that thinks anything that isn't him shermed out is garbage.

I dig everything by him to some degree except the Purple Rain mixtape. It had one good song that I could pick up off of another album.

I preferred Movies for the Blind over Hell's Winter, but they're both two of my favorite albums. Neither of them have any tracks I skip, I just love Cage's old voice and delivery so much, plus he had some amazing concept tracks on MFTB.... Agree with your point on Depart From Me though, Cage is an experimental hip hop artist, every studio release solo album he changes his style. Depart From Me was my least favorite Cage album, but it was still pretty good, apart from a few throw away tracks.

I actually liked Depart From Me apart from that song "Fat Kids Need An Anthem" or whatever it was called. I didn't have an issue with the change of sound.
