If the score is small (extreme = 5) your musical preferences are very limited, and if it is large (larger than 80, extreme = 100), then you have an eclectic musical preference. 18 fév. 2007, 22h06m par QuartertonalitySo a few weeks ago my ipod broke. Yeah I've dropped it a bunch of times...and yeah I probably should be more careful, but anyway...when I purchased the ipod (30 Gig video) I bought the Apple Protection plan, which covers me for 2 years. I walked into the store, explained that the phone jack was loose and caused music to only come out of one channel, the guy tried it out, walked in the back, grabbed me a new one (NOT refurb!) and I signed for it and was on my way. Best of all is that my protection coverage still covers me til June 2008, 2 years from buying the first one. So I'm good to go.
Now I have to figure out what to fill the damn thing with. All my video podcasts are on there now (what up Tom Green Live?) and of course my CBC Radio 3 podcast.
Next up, loading it with Sloan and Sonic Youth and pictures and what not, what a pain, but I guess I can't complain.
Moral of the story: Buy the apple protection plan. that is all. Thankyou.
13 juin 2006, 11h08m par leftand_leavingSo I've been busting out the CBC Radio 3 podcasts again and have been falling in love with CanCon all over again.
Cuff the Duke, Immaculate Machine, The Lovely Feathers, Elliott BROOD, Raising the Fawn, The Deadly Snakes...where have you been all my life?
Personally, I think I am just getting too damn excited about my impending Canadian adventures, (did I mention I posed off my visa application on Sunday? I am sure I did, hell I even called my best friend in Winnipeg twice to tell him that. From my Australian mobile to his Canadian cell phone, hello huge phone bill).
Yeah, needless to say. Excitement.
Anyway...I am so psyched at the thought of finally seeing all the bands I have adored for so many years, The Weakerthans, The New Pornographers, and all the new bands I keep on falling in love with every single week.
Why does 2007 have to be so far away? Damn the needing lots and lots and lots of money before I can do this.
22 fév. 2006, 15h56m par GrayzSo this is my first journal entry, and I come looking for help... I took in a night of Canadian Music Week in Toronto last year & loved it, so I am going to go hard this year.. I want to get maximum effect out of my wristband this time around! This year its running from March 1-4th, and I seem to know alot more bands thanks to the CBC Radio 3 podcast. With over 300 artists participating, it can be real hard deciding which shows to see.
I'm planning to see K'naan & Stars @ The indies on Wednesday. After that, going to see Shout Out Out Out, The Salads, Andy Magoffin, Hexes & Ohs, Josh Martinez, and Aesop Rock over the next 3 days.
There's still alot of blanks in my schedule.. Does anyone have any recommendations? Anyone else going?
