  Burning Airlines is obviously not a grunge band, but I could see how a younger listener would draw similarities between them and that sound. And, come on, the song Carnival is undeniably, and I would imagine intentionally, Nirvana-esque.

  Found Jawbox right as they were disbanding but I definitely enjoyed these guys back in the day when CDs were cool and they were new. Unfortunately, only two albums but fans of Jawbox should enjoy these folks.
