I started over re-exploring this album and I have to say that the best thing about it is its timeless potential. One of the best hardcore/ metalcore album ever.

I've grown obsessed with trying to find metalcore that even comes close this this in quality and sound... and I have found nothing...

Meiner Meinung nach ist ,,There Is A Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It'' das beste Album von BMTH. Die Perfekte Mischung aus chaotische Härte und schönen modernen symphonien die das Album sensationell abrunden. Man merkt sofort dass das Album anderen Metalcore Bands weit voraus ist, weil jedes Lied etwas besonderes ist. Allgemein kenn ich keine Band die etwas identisches wie ,,There Is A Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It' herausgebracht hat.

Miles better than "Sempiternal", in my opinion. [2]

I used to hate this when it first came out. Wasn't "br00t4l" like the albums out before it. I enjoyed Sempiternal and gave this another go. I love it now. I guess being older and supposedly more mature I finally was able to appreciate it. [2]

The first great album from this band and almost on par with Sempiternal. Oli really perfected his scream here.

VaMpIrIcArSoN, but Oli just really can't scream as he did in SS and this creepy-named album. Just listen to their live's. Now he dont have that hard deathcore scream as he did, he have more ph-like dirty scream, and it suits them now, at this point. But anyways, he is one of my favo singers/screamers.

I really respect BMTH for the effort they put to be different from the mass. Most bands use the standard formula screaming-Soilworkish riffs-breakdown-clean sung chorus, because it still works. BMTH tries to break these boundaries. This album is much more punk/hardcore oriented than most metalcore albums. They forge a huge, epic sound and sound really down-to-earth at the same time. And this is not just metal and hardcore, you can hear post-rock in tracks like Don't Go and Blessed With A Curse. You can definately hear Napalm Death's more punky days in Crucify Me. Oldschool groove death metal in Blacklist (even Oli sounds like John Tardy and Van Drunen at times). And Oli stopped screaming for this reason, to be able to match all these influences with ease. All metalcore bands have a screaming/singing vocalist these days, why should BMTH have one too? Oli's punky yells fit the sound perfectly. I'm sure he can still scream perfectly, he just chooses not to. [2] @Dyomaeth, v well said.

V This album is way heavier than Suicide Season though. At least you came around to it. It's tied with Sempiternal for my favourite BMTH album and it will always hold a special place in my heart for being my gateway metal album.

This album has so much potential and good ideas, but the generic-ness and blandness ruins it... [2]
