Excellent song and album opener. Some of Byrne's best singing of his career is on this track.

this was actually a track completely constructed by eno, and he also offered it to chris martin. martin said when he heard byrne's vocal take and lyrics he knew he couldn't compete with it.

Hm I also noticed that this song sounded familiar to me, but I didn't knew to which song it sounded like, but thanks to dmaxradio I know it now:)

Everyone noticed that "Home" steals TWICE from Simon and Garfunkel? The melody line that's exactly like "Sounds of Silence" (the "written on the subway wall..." part) and the idea of "Home, where my music's playing. Home, where my love lies waiting silently for me...." And, it's a rehash of Byrne's idea of "Big Country" with the distanced look at the homestead. I think he did that again on something else on one of his solo records. In general, I'm hearing way too much Byrne and not enough of Eno's music bed. And Byrne's voice hasn't improved with age. Bring that volume slider down a bit, bud. It sounds more like a follow up to the Eno/Cale record than more of "Bush of Ghosts."

I certainly didn't expect this. I was expecting avant garde stuff (like on GHOSTS). But it's not. Not that I'm disappointed-- this album is good!
