"I should be laughing right now..." gets me every time when the guitars break. Those back vocals, the guitars, the distortion effects all just build and explode. This and Weezer's "Only In Dreams" have to be my favorite epic climaxes of songs. Both absolute masterpieces...the tragedy and emotion behind this particular song may give it more power though. Not necessarily the song I prefer.

Favorite song off TDAGARIM <3! Sad story, RIP Katie Flynn! I love these three lines "and in the choir I saw our sad Messiah.....but never again". It would be very chilling to hear God's son, the man who in biblical canon was to have died for your sins, say that. I dunno, maybe I'm just seeing Jesus as the man to be most sympathetic for and the one to provide you the most sympathy ala "the prince" in Dostoevsky's "The Idiot".

In the choir, I saw our sad Messiah. He was bored and tired of my laments. He said, "I died for you one time, but never again." is quite possibly my favourite Brand New line.
