Great song, great video. Record company didn't think it would be a hit because it speeds up in the middle. Eh? Pop is pop, it's a great tune. Food had no idea. Balfe had no idea.

I had a goal to play this every sunday morning at full volume while I was at uni, until one of my housemates told me it was fucking annoying and to pack it in.

Some of my friends don't like this one. But to my surprise one of the few people I know who do was...my Grandpa. Yep, by the end of the song he was clapping along to it.

Damo quickly went off this one, on the grounds that "it could never happen". Er, wasn't that the whole point?

This doesn't really say much that the Kinks didn't already say better back in the 60s... probably one of my lesser favorites from MLIR.

James C Freeman you are so very right. It's an absolute travesty not to count this as a greatest hit. Even if it is only on the say-so of the true fans of Blur. This was one of their very greatest songs. In my mind there is absolutely no doubt of that at all.

Poor "Sunday Sunday", getting left off of both 'The Best Of' and now 'Midlife'. It deserves better!
