Bell X1 est un groupe irlandais originaire de Celbridge, un ville dans le nord du comté de Kildare, Irlande. Originalement composé de 5 membres, le groupe qui s’appelait au départ Juniper devient Bell X1 après le départ du chanteur Damien Rice. Le batteur Paul Noonan devient alors la nouvelle figure du groupe. Une changement de style significatif a suivi le départ de Rice, Noonan et le guitariste Dave Geraghty laissant libre cours à leurs propres influences.
Les autres membres du groupe sont Brian Crosby (guitare et claviers), Dominic Philips (basse) et Tim O’Donovan - de Neosupervital - qui est à la batterie lorsque le groupe part en tournée.
Bell X1 a sorti cinq albums: Neither Am I (2001), Music in the Mouth (2003), Flock (2005), Blue Lights On The Runway (2009) et Bloodless Coup (2011), ainsi qu’un disque live: Tour De Flock : Live At The Point (2007, CD/DVD).

Can someone please tell me why Bell X1 are not bigger than they are in England? Such a great band with a great sense of humour and big talent. It's a crying shame so it is. Of course it was a great seeing them live again, this time at the small but elegant Bush Hall. They did quite a bit from Bloodless Coup, which I'm loving. A slowed down Rocky and a very noisy Velcro two of my standouts from the setlist I think… Top night. Top band.
