Before The Dawn est un groupe Finlandais de Dark Death Mélodique qui a vu le jour en 1999.
Composé uniquement de Tuomas Saukkonen au début, le groupe gonfle vite ses rangs et change souvent de line-up. Aujourd’hui la line-up est composée de :
Tuomas Saukkonen : Voix death, guitare, guitare sèche, batterie et claviers
Lars Eikind : Voix claire, basse
Juho Räihä : Guitare
Et en live pour la batterie : Matti Auerkallio

This is one of the best Metal bands I have heard in a long while. They possess an immense amount of talent, ability and creativity in a genre that has stagnated with mediocrity. Deathstar Rising is a brilliant album. It carries the perfect balance between beauty and brutality - I don't have the will (or desire) to stop listening to it :P.
