Is there a song for nothingness>? Cause that pretty much describes me now. Here and now. Hmm... I'm trying to figure it out. Would it just be instrumental? Or are there lyrics that are an equivalent of nothing?

I guess these journals would have to include instrumentals, since actual music and instrumentals are sometimes even better at connecting with how you feel.

That being said, I suppose the nothingness I feel is on a par with this:

(a perfect example) The Cure - Cloudberry
I doubt that will play...but it's really the closest thing I have.

Or (a slightly less accurate example) Boards of Canada - Tears From the Compound Eye

And maybe lastly, Moby - 80

Although If I would have to say in song format, I've had Beck's Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime attached in my mind. Damn that awesomely great film Eternal Sunshine! You've cursed me with a great melancholy tune!

Exactly 3 years ago I wrote this A-Z of fave tracks..

While I'm waiting for a movie to download I decided to write a lil' something about soundtracks.
Because sometimes a movie can have a good script, good actors, good director, but without the proper soundtrack it is just not complete. Now I don't usually download soundtracks. Somehow it takes away the magic, the impression you had of the song. However here's a brief list of the movie soundtracks that made me go *ooh*.
(in no particular order)

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind - not so many songs here, as to just sounds and stuff. However it's magical, and fits every scene just perfect. Of course, I love the movie, but it wouldn't be as good without all the sounds and noises that are the soundtrack. And of course there's this special song, Beck - Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime. Touching, really touching.

Elizabethtown - Now despite all the bad credit this film got I love it! I love every bit of it, I love the whole of it! Soundtrack is amazing. Acting is amazing. …

My Red Hot Car

Included because I got my first car at the beginning of summer, and all i was listening to at that time was Go Plastic

Wouldn't It Be Nice

I used to only listen to the Beach Boys when I would be depressed and drink alone. Than i started paying attention to the actual music. Apparently it fucking rocks. This isn't my favorite song on Pet Sounds, but it's the most fun, i think.

Elephant Woman

Ok, so i lied about only listening to Go Plastic. There were actually two albums from that period. The other was Misery Is a Butterfly. I would listen to this when ever something bad was happening, and then all would seem to resolve itself.

Innocence

I guess that Volta got more attention from me in the spring than the summer, but i decided to put this here anyway. I listened to it alot while preparing for the one act plays.

Gronlandic Edit

I got this album on the day my girlfriend broke up with me. We got back together later on and began to make fun of this song alot.
