Dutch label Kindred Spirits has been among my favourite labels ever since the first Rednose Disktrikt[/artist longplayer came out. It’s not only their versatile catalogue making them special, but also the beautiful artwork that comes with each and every of their releases. Responsible for these are Machine, two designers hailing from Amsterdam. If you call yourself owner of the records by Build an Ark, Aardvarck, Jackson Conti (Madlib & Mamao from Azymuth), Kid Sublime, Legends Of The Underground, Peven Everett, Rich Medina, Chico Mann or Dorian Concept, you already have a Machine design in your shelf.

Jazzanova along with their partners from Soundcloud and Ableton invite everybody to participate in a new remix contest: This time the Berlin-based DJ and producer collective Jazzanova puts the tracks of its latest single "I Can See" (featuring Ben Westbeech) at your disposal for remixing. Which is kind of funny since normally it are the folks from Jazzanova that remix tracks of artists like Common, Ursula Rucker, 4Hero, Masters at Work, Fat Freddy's Drop, United Future Organization, Azymuth, or Calexico. Now they offer one of their very own tracks to their "competitors".

So finally the new album from Jazzanova is available in Japan and German speaking countries. The rest of the world will follow soon! The second album by the Sonar Kollektiv founders features collaborations with ben westbeech, José James, Phonte (of Little Brother), Dwele, Bembe Segue, Azymuth, Leon Ware, Joe Dukie (of Fat Freddys Drop), Paul Randolph and Thief.

It's no secret anymore the new Jazzanova album Off All The Things will be available on October 24th, this time being Released through Verve rather than their own label Sonar Kollektiv. The boys from Berlin collaborate on their second album (after In Between) with the likes of Dwele, José James, Bembe Segue, Paul Randolph, Ben Westbeech, Marcos Valle, Phonte, Joe Dukie, Clara Hill, Paul Kleber, Five Corners Quintet and Azymuth.

I’ve recently started a group for Portuguese speaking artists who are last.fm listeners, and their fans, Artistas e Ouvintes. I thought it would be fun to help artists who might not speak English to promote their music on the site, and my plan for that includes airing it in some of the English speaking groups for artists and listeners, so here goes.
