Woah, I'm listeing to "Static Of The Kapnobatai" currently via the Darkcore tag radio station on the downloaded last.fm thing. Anyway, I'm definatly going to have to check out more stuff. I was hooked on "Static Of The Kapnobatai" 10 seconds in. A rare thing to happen with me.

Well, seeing how Phrenitis has 14 tracks total, I am hoping for a lengthier release. Souyuan was too short, but the last half of the album makes up for everything...especially 3 Holy Spires. Some of his best work, in my opinion. I suppose the cliche saying can fit here...it's about quality, not quantity.

I hope its another long album (kapnobatai was nearly 70 minutes) my only complaint of Souyuan is how short it is..just a little over 40 mins

I couldn't agree more with the previous post. Simon never releases the same album twice. Each release has its own essence, its own identity. Phrenitis will be astounding, I am sure of it.

oh man, this music has nothing in common with the afore metioned artists. kudos to heath for originality. it's up to us individualy to decide whether or not we like his music, not discuss it. it wont justify anything at all.

Steve Roach is not Dark Ambient, if you are trying to point to Silent Hill being a bad point of referense you clearly do not appreciate Akira Yamaoka or his works and if so I think you are missing out on a huge fragment of the Dark Ambient culture.
