Astral Projection, groupe producteur de trance psychédélique, a remporté respect et ventes en tant qu’un des meilleurs dans leur domaine, malgré leur base en Israël, loin du courant dance dominant en Europe. À l’origine, le groupe était un partenariat de production formé de deux amis d’enfance: Avi Nissim et Lior Perlmutter, qui étaient tous les deux DJ dans la scène dance/industrial d’Israël à la fin des années 80, avant le début de leurs carrières de production en 1989. Un an plus tard, Monster Mania, enregistré sous le nom de SFX (Sound Effects) est devenu un succès en club après sa sortie sous le label Belgium’s Music Man. Le duo s’est installé à New York pour exécuter son propre label X-Rave, mais est retourné en Israël en 1994. Nissim et Perlmutter ont fondé un autre label nommé Outmosphere, qui est devenu Trust in Trance en 1995.
Initialement, le label était une entreprise strictement orientée sur la compilation; en 1995, ils ont publié le premier volume de la série (Trust In Trance: Psychedelic Vibes) qui contenait aussi beaucoup de leurs productions, notamment le premier titre sous leur nom d’Astral Projection. Le deuxième de la série a bien marché dans le hit-parade israélien; le troisième volume qui n’a remporté aucun succès même en Europe, s’est vendu en étant re-sorti sur le label de trance britannique TIP (il apparu comme l’album Trust In Trance du groupe uniquement). Nissim et Perlmutter ont bientôt abandonné le concept de compilation et ont sorti leur premier vrai album d’Astral Projection, Dancing Galaxy.

    However the electronic genre would sound more unique and creative if one band released just one song. If all the artists you listed broke up and deleted their music except one artist who deleted all their music except one track. Then the genre might sound alright and could be tolerated.

    Until two vocal musicians with different accents sing the same song. The lyrics would stay the same but the songs could sound totally different from one another. If two electronic musicians create music using the same beeps in the same order it would sound exactly the same.

    I do not want to take a tour through electronic music, it’s just a bunch of random beeps and noises. The different electronic musicians will just produce same thing and record it at different tempos so they can fill an album. They’ll probably reuse the same beeps and noises but change the order in which they occur in the songs again so they can produce more material to sell. What’s the point in looking up all those artist if i can judge the entire genre by listing to one song from one artist.

    Now, if you want to take a tour into electronic music, you'll see that things go differently. Start with Jan-Michele Jarre and Kraftwerk, then go through Acid trance, then Goa trance like Astral Projection, California Sunshine, then Detroit House, also Techno, Psychedelic trance like SUN Project, Uplifting trance like Cyan, Holymen, after that Ambient, Chillout, also Electro-dance like Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim, European trance /progressive/ like Tiesto and Paul Oakenfold and many more other substyles..then, my friend, you can tell that AP has nothing different to share with the Electronic music.
