Army of the Pharaohs ou encore AOTP est un groupe d’artistes de Boston, de Philadelphia et de Pennsylvania. Ce groupe est formé par Vinnie Paz en 1998 (plus connu par son Crew Jedi Mind Tricks).
En 1998 les premiers sons du groupe dans une mixtape ou dans un genre de street album sous le nom de The Five Perfect Extensions. Le groupe n’est alors composé que de Vinnie Paz, Stoupe, Jus Allah, Bahamadia, Chief Kamachi, Virtuoso, 7L & Esoteric.
Ce n’est qu’après huit années d’existence qu’un premier album voit le jour, The Torture Papers (sous le label Babygrande). Durant la pèriode séparant le premier Maxi du premier album, Bahamadia, Virtuoso, Stoupe et Jus Allah ont quitté l’aventure et de nouveaux pharaons ont fait leur entrée : Apathy, Celph Tiltled, Des Devious, Faez One, King Syze, Planetary, Crypt the Warchild et Reef the Lost Cauze.
Le second album Ritual Of Battle sort le 25 septembre 2007. Le groupe accepte pour ce nouvel album de nouveaux membres dont : Doap Nixon, Demoz and King Magnetic.
