Architects est un groupe de mathcore/hardcore basé à Brighton, au Royaume Uni. Ils sont actuellement signés chez United By Fate Records au Royaume Uni et chez Distort Entertainment au Canada. Après la tournée promotionnelle pour la sortie de l’album Nightmares (2006), Architects ont annoncé le départ de leur chanteur Matt Johnson, qui ne supportait plus la vie en tournée. Durant leur premier concert en tant que tête d’affiche en Janvier 2007 à Oxford, Matt Johnson a symboliquement quitté la scène afin de laisser sa place à Sam Carter, qui finira le concert en chantant The Darkest Tomb. Le groupe est par la suite parti en tournée en Europe avec des groupes comme The Chariot et Bring me the horizon. Ils ont joué à un grand nombre de festivals indépendants anglais, et au fameux Download Festival en 2007. Le 26 Juin 2007 sort Ruin, le deuxième album du groupe, qui sera bien reçu par la critique. Le groupe a sorti un Split EP avec le groupe Dead Swans en Janvier 2008, sur lequel on trouve deux de leurs chansons : We’re All Alone et Broken Clocks. Le groupe travaille actuellement sur son nouvel album, qui devrait sortir en Janvier 2009.

I wanted to film them but between Tom, Ali & I there was a dickhead (sicurity) who prevented me from filming. Everytime I was trying he was just looking at me and yelling... I only was able to film one, but the quality is SHITTY.
