The Anix is a neo-new wave/synth rock trio that has been around since 2001. Released on Cleopatra Records,
Sleepwalker is the follow-up to their 2008 opus
Demolition City and their fourth full-length album. Produced by Jurgen Engler (
Die Krupps) and written during lead singer/guitarist Brandon Smith's three year battle with insomnia "often with no memory" the next day, this record explores their cinematic influences(The Crow, The Dark Knight, among others) and melds them together with a multitude of sounds the Anix takes its cue from (Muse, Innerparty System,
The Cure,
30 Seconds to Mars, Depeche Mode,
The Faint)- to say the least, this is an intriguing concept.

Enemy Eyes, as the band rocks along until the drums cue the chorus' eruption into full-scale assault. …
