She's at SXSW this week and has been interviewed by Last.fm's petergavin here.
Miranda Lee Richards' music is pure San Francisco - year round sunshine, a happy time warp sometime back when life was beautiful and the future was full of possibilities and promise.
She says, “Courtney Taylor from the Dandy Warhols calls my genre ‘Pixie Fairy Dust Chick Music,’" [...] “But I think another fitting description for Light of X might be ‘Psychedelic Chamber Folk Rock.’”

10 nov. 2006, 10h27m par LardygirlSo, time to see Brian Jonestown Massacre live for the first time. Arrived at an almost empty venue, the bar had a lovely flirty bartender who served me the best of drinks, tea with a tiny bit rum in it, and I got to watch singer Anton Newcombe have a Bloody Mary, act really friendly with a fan, a teenager who wanted his photo taken with him, and him being photographed with a girl probably interviewing him.
Since I have only listened to Brian Jonestown Massacre for a couple of months, I had no opinion about the band, I didnt know what they look like, and from what I could see from how the singer acted, he seemed to be a nice guy. At this point I didnt know it was the singer, he was just a guy who looked a lot like a young Mark E Smith, well maybe not that much, but a little like him. I also overheard him talking to the photographer stating that he didnt mean to be difficult, and he didnt seem to be either.
Opening act, The Lea Shores that I'd never heard, or heard of before. …
