  I think this song is about the intimacy in a relationship - the trust and sharing of 'secrets'. Now i dont want to spoil the song for anyone, but i partly think it could be an affair that is being referred to and thus the constant reference to keeping secrets... Having said that the references to secrets could just be emphasis of that crucial ingredient for a relationship - trust.
