Dyomaeth Yeah, the mastering is so loud it hurts but still, nothing can ruin this album. It's godly. Up there with the rest of Alice in Chains' godlike discography.

DirkGDF Urgh, this is just a perfect example for the Loudness War. I really like the songs on it (Private Hell, A Looking in View, Lesson Learned are my favs), but the mastering is so shitty that I find it really hard to listen to it

It hurts me to say it but this just proves that there is no such thing as an irreplaceable person. Jerry found the perfect replacement to Layne, used some of Layne's song ideas which he left behind, played some of his own trademark Sabbath-y riffs and the magic happened. Another Alice in Chains masterpiece for us to love.

mk741 Check My Brain is quite bad (one of AiC's worst tracks), but other than that, a great sludgy album. Indeed better than their self-titled, and maybe even better than Facelift. Major props to Cantrell for pulling this comeback album off so well.
