Alnamrood is a fine band, their first album is good but others are just a repetition and talking about Arabic, I think it's silly if lyrics were in English, probably because you don't speak Arabic but it's a rough language, A'hd Aljahiliyah is great especially if you understand the lyrics

Pretty interesting stuff. What's with the silly effect on the vocals, though? Would've been better without it.

Awesome concept and I actually like the Arabic vocals, but the production and recording quality ruin it for me. I hope they improve on the next album.

It would be totally boring if Metal all around the world would be only combines with English language. I'm always happy to hear different languages when listening to metal. such as Al-Namrood having their lyrics in Arabic, Arkona singing in Russian language etc. pp.

We should respect their use of Arabic language in their lyrics. Why do we want band from all other parts of the world trying to emulate the Western ideals in their music instead of representing their own origins and cultures (even those who don't necessarily love all aspects of their culture).. What would Urfaust be without Dutch/half-assed German ;) lyrics, Nagelfar without the great german lyrics, bands like Finntroll or Furia or Celeste without finnish or polish lyrics. I respect bands who don't want to sing in their mother tongue because of various reasons. But I guess the original language is always superior. Still, translations would be nice... But that's not required from a band. If you want translations, go and study it or get some people who know it and may help you.

I agree that they ought to use the Arabic alphabet rather than the Latin transliteration (looks cooler in iTunes...)

The funniest band I've ever seen ... Their Music is great ... But their vocals sucks. The combination of arabic folk music with BM seems to work perfectly but arabic lyrics? I don't think so.
