really great and overlooked album, as The Sun of Tiphareth and Barathrum also are... However, the Production really sucks. I don't mind oldschool lo-fi production, but here I feel like there lies so much more under the muddy production than I am able to grasp, in short, I'm hindered to embrace all the glory of this album by the production. It's really a shame, because the predecessors had a decent production. The same is with Kreators Terrible Certainty... Also the third album, also a really weak production, Endless Pain and Pleasure to Kill had also oldschool production, but you were able to hear what they play on the instruments, unlike here.

So sad that I came late to the Absu party--When I heard "The Torques of Gold" on the 'Gummo' Soundtrack, I instantly wanted to get into them more, but didn't end up buying anything until '09, with "ABSU"--I listened to literally everyday. Then I got "Tara" which I love. But, I can never find "The Third Storm" and do believe that it has a much more 'atmospheric' vibe which I love. Absu are insanely rad, one of the U.S.'s top 5 Metal bands. Just missed their show in SF over the weekend :( "Numbarshegunu a silk veil shines over you!)

excellent stuff... the unusual vox & groovy drums are amazing.. sadly the guitar sound is a low, it's pretty hard to hear catch the riffs
