Aisha Duo is the name for a jazz musical duo. The members are Andrea Dulbecco (Marimba) and Luca Gusella (Vibraphone), Italian musicians who began working together after being in the same percussion class at the Conservatory of Milan.
The term « aisha » is an Arabic word meaning « she is alive ».
Marco Decimo (Cello) and Glen Velez (Frame Drums) appeared on Aisha Duo’s first recording, Quiet Songs.
The duo is currently beginning to arrange its second recording, pairing the two members with a chamber choir. The album will be released on the ObliqSound label in 2009.
Two of the band’s songs, Amanda and Despertar, come with computers pre loaded with Windows Vista
