  • The best AC/DC songs version 1.0

    4 oct. 2008, 1h01m par DarkViperd00d

Due to the anticipation of AC/DC's new album Black Ice, which comes out on October 20th, I thought I would celebrate by sharing with you guys a list of my top 30 AC/DC songs. Now due to my giant fanhood this list was extremely hard to compile. Now without further ado...

    1) Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be:
This particular live version of Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be is found on the album Let There Be Rock: The Movie - Live In Paris which is part of the Bonfire box set. It's my favorite rendition of the song, and my favorite AC/DC song. Listen to it and you'll agree with me.

    2) Whole Lotta Rosie:
This version is found on the album If You Want Blood You've Got It, the best live album and my second favorite AC/DC song

    3)Hells Bells
    Just because it's awesome

    4)Thunderstruck
    see above

    5)Riff Raff
Probably the most underated AC/DC song which is found on the most underrated AC/DC album, Powerage.

    6)Ride On:
Great, great song. Best song on DDDDC. I have nothing left to say.

  • Music pt. 2

So at the age of 10 I was finally actually listening to music, even if it was the A*Teens. Some time later, probably within a few months, my parents got me the soundtrack from that Pokemon movie as well as the official Pokemon soundtrack thing (like, for the show). Well I liked listening to them, and I started to look at what bands were doing each song for the movie soundtrack. Some of the bands were familiar, because my sister had CDs by them. I don't recall them all, but I believe a few were M2M and Brittany Spears. Anyways, I was pretty thrilled to know my sister had more of this kind of stuff that I could listen to. So I started to listen to some of her stuff from time to time. Eventually I started getting into the Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, and all those other horrible pop bands from the 90's that everybody just wants to forget. I was pretty into that kind of stuff for a while.

But later, probably around 7th grade when I was about 12, it started to phase out of me. …

    Discovered in violenzae's journal:

Rules: Put your playlist on shuffle and write down the first 25 songs you get:

I will do 20, because it's late and I'm tired.

    1. John Doe
    2. Electric Head Part 1 (The Agony)
    3. Add It Up
    4. The Real Thing
    5. DDevil
    6. Coattails Of A Dead Man
    7. Freedom
    8. Eulogy
    9. Floods
    10. Wish You Were Here
    11. Sam Hall
    12. Molly's Lips
    13. Big Balls
    14. Dirt
    15. Under the Bridge
    16. Long in the Tooth
    17. Ruiner
    18. Magic Man
    19. Music
    20. King for a Day

Now take the first line from the first song, the second line from the second song, third line from the third song, etc. and put them in order below to make your scrambled song. If the song doesn't have enough lines loop back to the beginning--like if you need the 22nd line but the song only has 15 lines, you start counting again with the first line as line 16 and end up using line 7.

    (1) HE DIED ON THORAZINE
    (2) Crucifixion nails stain the bed of the holy

Third time. I quite enjoy this lyrics things, meet some interesting people with good music taste along the way :). Bent the rules a wee bit too =/, sometimes the first line of a song is pretty ambigious!

Step 1: Put your MP3 player or whatever on random.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 50 songs that play, not matter how embarassing.
Step 3: Strike out the songs when someone guesses both artist and track correctly.
Step 4: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!

    1. Well I walked up to her and I asked her if she wanted to dance
    Then I Kissed Her

    2. The old Rocker wore his hair too long, wore his trouser cuffs too tight
Too Old To Rock 'n Roll, Too Young To Die

    3. Oh, girl Ive known you very well, I've seen you growing everyday
    More Than a Woman

    4. You walk in, half past nine, looking like a queen
    Poor House

    5. Every day is an endless train, you go to ride it to the end of the line

    6. Your daddy was a Sgt. Major

    7. Im sick and tired of hearing things
  • Old School Rock n' Roll

Just had a look over my recently played list, and it looks live I've been listening to a lot of AC/DC. I have many memories of hearing my Dad listen to these guys a lot when I was younger, especially Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. For those of you who haven't listened to that particular album, check it out Big Balls and Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap.

Also been hearing a lot of The Prodigys Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned. I initially wrote this CD off, after hearing a couple of tracks where the guys focus on having their dances singing. Luckiy, the guy who makes the music realised this is not such a great idea, and basically removed them from this CD. The results are great and anyone who's written them off for the same reasons should check them out.
