Le trio new yorkais « A place to bury strangers » est caractérisé par un mélange d’influences uniques entre le rock atmosphérique, psychédélique et le shoegaze.IL est composé de Oliver Ackerman, Jonathan Smith ou JONO MOFO et Jay Space.
Surnommé « le groupe le plus bruyant de New york » par les critiques de rock indépendant, ils ont acquis une renommée grâce à leur prestation au Webster hall en 2006 aux cotés de The Brian JOnestown Massacre.Ils y sont retournés en 2007 pour jouer avec The Jesus and Mary Chain.
En août 2007 le groupe s’est fait connaître nationalement grâce à une critique Pitchwork très élogieuse sur leur premier album « A place to bury strangers » produit par le label Killer Pimp.
Le groupe a ensuite débuté sa tournée en première partie de Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

deny, radiohead - boring "experimental" for masses. aptbs are pedalboard-nerds, noisy shoegazers with post-punk and noise rock influence. and thanks to fuckin pitchfork they are so popular in hipster's habitat.
