San Francisco Symphony, Arnie Roth, & 植松伸夫 (Nobuo Uematsu) - San Francisco - July…
19 sept. 2009, 21h20m par jukkakhan
Artist: San Francisco Symphony, Arnie Roth, & 植松伸夫 (Nobuo Uematsu)
Date: July 18th, 2009
Location: San Francisco
Venue: Davies Symphony Hall
Tour: Distant Worlds - Music From Final Fantasy
Remarks: So this was my first symphony concert, and it was freaking amazing. It was so surreal to hear music from games I played 5, 10, even 15 years ago, come to life. All the arrangements were beautifully done, and they somehow pulled off the songs with vocals with only 4 vocalists. It was also very clear that Arnie Roth, the conductor, has such a passion for video games and their music, especially from Final Fantasy. He mentioned that there were three Square-Enix employees in the audience that was flown in especially for this concert. Also in the audience, was Nobuo Uematsu himself, who got crazy applause whenever he did anything.
●
Liberi Fatali (The giant screen above the symphony really helped bring the music to life, it made it seem as though we were experiencing it all over again, but in a crazy new way. … -
