Artist Review #2: Namie Amuro

If Hikki is a J-pop artist of consistency, Namie Amuro is one of reinvention. Having been in the J-pop industry for 13 years, her style has completely changed from the heavy dance sounds produced by Tetsuya Komuro to a more hip-hop, R&B style that's all her own. For this entry, I'm gonna stick to most of her post-STYLE stuff, since that's what I like better.
I first started listening to Namie Amuro after hearing a lot about her history as one of the first J-pop idols, before falling out of popularity with the emergence of Ayumi Hamasaki and Utada Hikaru. Having gotten tired of Ayumi's constant lalalala's at the end of all her songs and impatient at Hikki's infrequent releases, I decided to investigate.
