Grand protagoniste de la Drill and bass après être passé un bon bout de temps par de l’ambient, µ-ziq (de son vrai nom Michael Paradinas) a produit ses premiers albums sous le label Rephlex Records, jusqu’en 1995, où il créea son propre label Planet Mu, en association avec Hut Recordings. Il vit aujourd’hui à Worcester en Angleterre avec sa femme Jessica et son fils de trois ans Caleb, partageant sa vie de famille avec celle d’auteur/compositeur et producteur de nouveaux talents.
