cobbler1 It's amazing but I just recently started listening to 'til Tuesday. I always loved "Voices Carry" but never dove into the band beyond that song. 'til Tuesday was a very solid and gifted band. I have many of Aimee's solo music and she is a great song writer, but with the band they add the punch to her voice.

terra_trodder This album was responsible for opening up a whole new world of music for me when it first came out, of which I've been on a music journey ever since. I can't express the sentiment I have for it. It was like finally realizing that music was more then just something to have on, it actually had feeling and meaning. Guess I was just listening to junk music before that :)

tidalwave_ It's weird to see that so little scrobbles. I honestly thought they were a hugely popular new wave band in the 80s. I even distinctively remember hearing "Voices Carry" on the classic rock radio stations a ton of times. Just kinda shocked.

'Everything's Different Now' is an absolutely fantastic record, and it's a damned shame that 'Til Tuesday don't get more recognition. The stuff on the third and final album blows 'Voices Carry' away, in my humble opinion.

ZeroCorpse "Voices Carry" wasn't their best song. It was their most commercial work, with "single appeal" from the days when they sold singles on 45 rpm vinyl. The rest of the album, however, is really incredible, as are the albums that follow it. Aimee is amazing as a solo act, but the angst caused by the whole relationship-breakup-thing is what made `Til Tuesday such a great band. Just like with Fleetwood Mac, their best work came when they all hated to work together because the relationships were falling apart. Aimee's not as ethereal now.

I'm a sucker for 80s music, so I love Voices Carry regardless. Managed to find half of Everything's Different Now on Ruckus but no such luck for the other tracks! Already knew (Believed You Were) Lucky, probably my favourite song ever.

'Til Tuesday were as mainstream after Voices Carry (song) as Aimee Mann is now. which means: not at all. they were actually very respected - despite Aimee's hair - and deservedly so. i agree that the Voices Carry album is their least good (haven't listened to it in ages). I love the other two. Welcome Home is one of my favorite albums ever, actually.

Are they really mainstream? I definitely think they're pop but they really weren't on the forefront of the 80s new-wave/pop scene aside from Voices Carry. And their music definitely matured after that album, wonderful as it is.

Hossinfeffa I've only heard Voices Carry, which is an alright song. But I wish Drezniak would have won the music contest instead of 'Til Tuesday.
