Sean Wright Releases 26th Album In 26 Months
18 mai 2009, 19h16m par seanwright_2007
Sean Wright’s 26th new album in 26 months! His 32nd album features 12 new songs and is the third solely acoustic release in an outstanding trilogy along with DYLAN’S DEAD? and ACOUSTIC ARCADE.
THE CALLING by Sean Wright
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) – May 18, 2009 – Musically, THE CALLING finds Wright once again mining the regally traditionalist sound first heard on ACOUSTIC ARCADE. Hazy bluegrass numbers, acoustic-based songbook pop, and jumpin’ country swing provide the backdrop for Wright’s continuing study of the vicissitudes of life, love, and death. Although he is certainly world-weary and wise, a lot of life is lived in the verses of these songs and there is a sublime spirituality that provides, if not hope (a rather prosaic notion for Wright by this point, to be sure), at least a means to finding contentment. Finally, a word about Wright’s voice here: while his singing has always been unconventional and inveriably melodic in any traditional sense… -
SEAN WRIGHT SUCCESS IN TWO YEAR PROJECT
11 avr. 2009, 6h19m par seanwright_2007
Sean Terrington Wright began his Album-A-Month Project in April 2007, offering all of his huge catalogue up for free download at Last FM and Jamendo. His first challenge was to record 12 albums in 12 months. After achieving this in March 2008, he continued to pursue his next goal: to record 24 albums in 24 months. He achieved his aim during March 2009, releasing the 24th album - EXIT RIGHT WITHOUT A SOUND.
EXIT RIGHT is a 12 track album of original songs penned by Sean Wright that cover a wide range of themes and stories. The title track tells the tale of Detective Irvine Smith on the criminal trail of the crooked Two Tone Twins. "A Good Day To Die" is an acoustic masterpiece examining the Battle Of Little Big Horn. "Total Change" calls for a complete transformation of heart, mind, and soul - a global revolution, a re-thinking of what is possible for the future of humanity. While perhaps the most forward-thinking song on the album is the opening track "Our Love… -

WAR NO MORE album 12 release by Sean Wright
30 mars 2008, 11h22m par seanwright_2007
Album 12 - WAR NO MORE - by Sean Wright was released at the end of March 2008, heralding Wright's remarkable achievement of writing, recording and releasing 12 albums in 12 months.
War No More is a very special album, Wright said. It's my first album that carries a strong anti-war motif throughout. It tells a story that switches narrative, from my strong personal views to the wider perspective of my alter-ego Jimmy, who appears in many of my songs. It completes a very traumatic and paradoxically creative year. It culminated with the loss of my father to cancer on the eve of the album's completion, as well as working with the innovative production genius of Mark Tinley (Duran Duran, Adamski, Dandy Warhols).
Wright began his album-a-month project back in April 2007 and so far he hasn't stopped.
