Play/Rec is extremely proud to announce that Copenhagen based band, Trust, is joining the label. Trust consists of Henrik W. Hald and Lars B. Laursen, both former members of the promising band Up In Arms, which sadly broke up. Lars and Henrik have caused quite a fuss here in Copenhagen since they formed Trust only a year ago. People who have seen Trust live or heard the debut 7" know that this is a talented two-piece indeed. We feel lucky that the band has chosen Play/Rec as the label on the forthcoming debut album, and feel that they will fit in perfectly in the Play/Rec family. The debut album will be recorded in the beginning of 2010 and released sometime around June. The album will be recorded, mixed and produced by Jakob Nielsen, former member of Lack, who has been very active producing and recording lately. Jakob Reichert Nielsen has among others worked with Menfolk, Obstacles, Rising and he was also the mixer/co-producer on "Saturate Every Atom" by his own band Lack. Trust already has one 7" single out and yet another 7”, entitled "Mythic Maps" is set for release in early 2010 by our friends in the label Red Tape.

Who are Trust?:
Hailing from Copenhagen Denmark, Trust is a two-piece formed in late 2008 - Guitar and drums meshed together in complex melody-lines and blistering heaviness to form an all out sonic assault on the hearing apparatus of the listener. With an ever increasing fleet of strange, homemade amplifier-configurations, speaker cabinets and broken drumsticks, this duo produce a massive spark of energy through which a certain quantum of lyrics addressing topics such as mythical space trips and the destructive forces of nature is delivered.
