Unformal is a nu metal band from Azerbaijan.

It all started at the ruined attic of a model agency, left from the former Soviet Union.
There, along with a bunch of young artists and musicians, two childhood friends -Rustam and Novruz started renting a room. Soon Unformal was invited to play at the festival in Georgia and give and interview for the Georgian music TV channel “Maestro”.
The same year Vagif moved to Russia and left the band. Two new guitarists joined the band: Rustam “Krot”, who played for three years before he moved to Canada, and Imran, who is still with Unformal. In 2003 Unformal participated in the TV show that was followed up by the performance tour in Azerbaijan. The last concert with that show-program was held in October 2003 on the main stage of Azerbaijan “Heydar Aliev’s Palace” . During 2004-2005 Unformal organized eleven festivals, recorded a demo-album “Unformal”, celebrated its fifth anniversary with a solo concert, wrote and rehearsed new songs for the upcoming album.
At the same time Farida (bass) launched her side project with her conservatory friends – the girl’s rock band “W/Omen”. Soon Unformal recorded an experimental duet with the singer of “W/Omen” – Dilya, which turned out a real success and in 2006 she joined Unformal along with Looper (guitarist). In October 2006, represented by: Rustam and Dilya (vocal), Looper and Imran (guitars), Farida (bass) and Eugene (drums); renewed Unformal gives a solo concert with new band members and new musical concept. Sudden changes from hard to more alternative music were welcomed by the fans. “Ilk Suigest” becomes one of the best concerts the band ever played , and the beginning of new era in the history of Unformal. Specially invited to the event, Vitaliy Klimov, an outstanding Ukraine producer, signed a contract with Unformal, and two months latter (in December) the band recorded the single “Sonsuz Yol” with Kiev’s Symphonic Orchestra under the direction of a Serbian musician, the piano player of the band “Ocean Elzi” – Milosh Yelich, This song is also a part of the soundtrack, Unformal wrote for the upcoming movie “Sirat Korpusu”. Currently Unformal is recording the first numbered album at the famous Ukraine record “studio 211” in Kiev under the direction of sound producer Vitaliy Telezin. In near future Unformal is planning to shoot a video for “Sonsuz Yol”.
