  With regards to Pram, it’s true you don’t see their albums on vinyl very often, particularly The Stars Are So Big…… (which goes for quite a lot of money on ebay and Discogs). I’d still recommend getting hold of their albums though, not one of them is a bad record and they’re one band who I regularly keep going back to and can listen to no matter what mood I’m in (and fortunately I bought all their records on vinyl at the time).

  That was the album that got me into Pram. Not my favourite, but I'll always have a special place for it.

  Embarrassed to admit I've never actually heard that album, though I've liked all the Pram stuff I have heard. Must seek it out. You don't see their vinyl around much though, do you?

  If it was going to be Loveless, he should have published it today (#lovelessday). He's such an iconoclast, I think he'll go for something willfully non-canonical, like The Anatomy of Addiction by God.

  That's good to know (seeing as you seem to ultimately feel the same way about the music). I suppose I can understand his dislike of the term post-rock if he relates it to the 3rd rate Mogwai/GSYBE rip-off shite that has since claimed the genre name as its own. I'm certainly looking forward to the next instalment in the series anyway. "The Greatest Album Of The 90s." Somehow I think Loveless is too obvious a choice so I'm curious to know what it'll be (Laughing Stock, maybe? Who knows).

  I do find it hard not to read that preamble as a personal attack but that's probably a bit paranoid. Still, it's funny that I got into trouble for being "aggressive" or whatever in the comments box but it's okay for him to basically call me retard. Ah well, it's a particular type of very British firebrand music writing. No point in getting upset about it. Haven't had a chance to read the interview yet but I bet it's great. I basically agree with everything he says, other than the fact that he hates the term "post-rock".

  Neil Kulkarni’s article on Insides has been posted on the Quietus: http://thequietus.com/articles/07267-the-euphoria-of-insides He makes a big deal about how he hates the term ‘post-rock’ at the start (probably in response to Sam's comment on their site about the Main piece a few weeks ago).
