If I wanted to listen to some good Progressive Rock band from the 70´s, I´d listen to Camel or another band from that era, not a wannabe tribute album. [4]

I'm not hating it, did I pass the test of being a good fan? It's just that this wasn't the first time a band I really like made something unexpected rather that just evolving a bit, and I can still find aspects to like about it. Quite many, in fact.

[2] yup. sorry, akerfeldt, but this is only imitate, nothing new... even is he in love with Steven, so sorry, but Wilson is so much better in proggressive/psychodelic rock than opeth... so, guys, get back to opeth, not king crimson and stuff. p.s. if mikael want, he can do realy, epic shit - like Storm Corrosion. its not opeth, he is not try to prove or impress anything, and he and Steven get excellent.

If the music had been a little more like "Atonement," which is a terrific Opeth song that doesn't make use of growled vocals or death metal instrumentation, I would have been pleased. However, we all know that things didn't turn out that way.

Heritage is a great album, but it should've been a solo record for Mike because it's basically a 70's prog tribute album. Mike needs to stop smoking so he can growl brutally again.

@Yavor_Vasilev - it's not as senseless as you think, both albums are a great bands' extremely shitty 2012 releases.

LilLioness, you mean "Koloss" by Meshuggah? This is completely different type of music. I also enjoy Meshuggah's latest album and I saw them live. But it's senseless to compare "Heritage" with "Koloss".

I like Hertage because I never listened to early prog rock and i'm going to vigorously defend Heritage as forward thinking music because i'm open minded xD.

Sorry, but nothing surpasses the awful of Koloss, imo.
