  Hello Blues Fans! I've been leading several groups here on lastfm for a while, but I don't have the time to lead them anymore. I just abdicated leadership of Gov't Mule and The Movie Group. I'd like to find new leaders for Robert Cray and Concert Stories and The Marshall Tucker Band. If you'd like to lead one, let me know with a message or post in the group shoutbox. These groups deserve leaders who will take an active role in leadership.

  I was once briefly married to a blues aficionado in Eugene, OR. He knew Robert and a whole bunch of other very fine musicians - and chose to invest his little cash in Cray long before he was well known . How the hell my ex knew which of that bevy of bluesmen would make it, I've never known. I do know that Robert is a genuinely nice guy - not something you can say about a lot of musicians. He comes by his style honestly, being an army brat from Oregon, not a sharecropper's son from Mississippi - as some would prefer he sounded like. I surely do miss having great live blues available all the time.

  I just bought a new Robert Cray cd! "Live Outdoor Concert - Austin, Texas, May 25, 1987" is a nice mix of his older stuff LIVE! The don't show this cd at his website.
