  'shit' is a perception. just because YOU don't like another persons taste doesn't mean its shit, it just means you don't hold the same values or interests in music as another person. The fact of the matter is, Protest has a lot to offer, and that brings a lot of different people to the scene. sure some music has more effort put into it than others, and if you put the time in to really listen to protest you'd see that theres a lot of effort there. whether you listen to it because your a musician, and you love the any, or all parts of the machine that is protest, or you listen to it because you they create a sense of atmosphere, thats all very personal and subjective. I'm not sure what YOUR definition of shit is, but just because music isn't metal, doesn't mean its shit. musically, bands like Circa Survive and Propagandhi bring as much talent to the table as dream theater ever did. because first and foremost, music is supposed to appeal to humanity, not your ignorant, convoluted opinon
