The new album is amazing! It made me a much bigger propagandhi fan than I was before. I already liked their latest albums more than their earlier work, because I think the vocals are more passionate, and the sound is a lot harder. Their new album takes this even further: loud, complex song structures, great vocals, I really like the sound. And the lyrics are awesome.

Great community, I'm in! I've really liked the new album, great tracks at all, really surprised me, it's maybe better than potemkin, but I think it's a little short... well, maybe not, I'm just ... huh... hallucinating. I swear I did my best to ensure that...

Dear xtheblademaster, Do you know anything about this band? The bio on their website, written by either Chris or Jord says they've been calling themselves "progressive thrash" pretty much since day one. Maybe you should read it. Also, have you listened to the G7 podcasts? They talked about and played a lot of metal. A Speculative Fiction is very thrash-metal influenced song as is Back to the Motor League. I know that you're 15 and ska and fart jokes are still awesome and HTCE is your favorite album and all, but someday you'll realize that Potemkin and Empires have so much more depth and everything about them is just plain better. They must be pretty progressive considering that each album sounds significantly different and better. Don't get me wrong, I love HTCE, but they're better thrashy and not sounding like NOFX - and NOFX is my favorite band. -Seth

I'd just like to mention it means socially progressive thrash, XNumpty. Considering most of their influences are metal/thrash, and they've spent a great deal of cash putting out metal records, they do, infact have some kind of 'association' with the 'scene'. Sacrifice and VOIVOD would be fucking proud.

It seems weird to me that The Weakerthans are not among the top artists in this group and Propagandhi is not among the top artists in the Weakerthans group. I love both bands, and have since JKS left Propagandhi to form The Weakerthans.
