Music Nietzsche would listen to if he was alive today?

    I have often wondered this...
My vote goes to black metal

  • I'm damn sure he'd have loved Hannah Montana

Well I'm sure that first he would go from Bizet to Bartok, Stravinsky and Schönberg. Then a little bit of Poison (german old school black metal) but he will overcome that also and at the end he'll be the biggest fan of Die Ärzte because their lyrics are against Nazis and they have a song named Schopenhauer :D
That's a joke of caurse, if he was alive he would have listened to his own great music :)

  • In fact after Niezsche was outraged with Wagner, he started listening to George Bizet and some other classical artists.

As a smart man, In my opinion if he was alive today,
no way that he would stand the stupidity of the 98% of Black metal bands.
(except for 10-15 good BM artists that don't talk constantly about Satan, raping goats, or being a Neo-Luddite retard for profession, )

Probably he would have listened classical (all except romantics) or contemporary classical, avant-garde metal, IDM,(for the Ubermensch ideal), Futurepop, Dark Jazz, experimental and maybe some intelligent post-Punk (smart yet rebellious ) and/or Medieval. Who knows? It is all mere speculations though.

I don't think he would have been a metal fan, tbh. He probably would have dismissed the entire genre in all honesty. Maybe Modern Classical, classical, Jazz, a little Opera perhaps?

Definitely not black metal. He was all for offenbachian music: energetic, uplifting, festive. He would despise black metal as a resentiment of utterly christian/nihilist nature.

Nietzsche... would listen to A Silver Mt Zion. Depressive, very layered though and brilliant texts. The words that would also fit Nietzsche.

hard to say...i doubt he would have liked metal though, as mentioned by someone earlier, it's not the most intelligent music out there...probably something like jazz like john coltrane
