Is there a girl from Bremen/Germany with a good musical taste and interest in design? ;-)
    ***
I am searching for Progressive Metal and Fusion Jazz fans in Bremen, too. Attending gigs, watching DVDs, discussing stuff etc. Also playing and learning music.

If we take musicians from Neo-Prog era... it'll be like this for me:

Jorn Lande - Vocals (Jorn, Masterplan, Allen & Lande) - guy who makes great power metal and hard rock vocalist.
Daniel Gildenlow - Vocals + Guitars (Pain of Salvation) - many good experiments and concepts came from this creative mind of prog-metal genius.
Kevin Moore - Vocals + Keys (Chroma Key, OSI, Fates Warning) - a genius of psychedelic polysynths and infinite bag of ideas.
Tony Levin - Vocals + Bass + Stick (King Crimson, Liquid Tension Experiment) - Charismatic and clever :)
Mike Portnoy - Vocals + Drums (Dream Theater) - mad, mad, mad, heavy, heavy, heavy, double bass, double bass, double bass, etc...

The sound would be described as psychedelic\melodic\unexpected\powerful. Something I'm looking forward to hear :) But this band is not possible, because too many leaders can not work together, and 4 of 5 members of this supergroup are leaders by their very nature.

    Supergroup from the 70s?

    Why not ELP? :)

  • Male Vocals & Guitars - Nick Barrett (Pendragon)
Female Vocals - Rachel Jones (Karnataka)
Guitars - Steve Rothery (Marillion, The Wishing Tree)
    Keyboards - Pete Bardens (Camel)
Bass - Pete Trewavas (Marillion, Kino)
    Drums - Phil Collins (Genesis)
Flute - Angela Gordon (Mostly Autumn)

Transatlantic is more than enough supergroup for all my progressive needs. A reunion would certainly be one of my dreams fulfilled.

  • Steven Wilson
    Mikael Åkerfeldt
    Mike Portnoy

One can only hope they do get together.

I've tried this several times before, and never completed one, there's just too many great and interesting musicians out there.

My current supergroup already exists, namely Arena.
