    Ooh? The Smiths aren't heartbroken, they're too-frustrated-to-force-my-heart-onto-anybody-in-the-first-place :D heartbreak's all The Wedding Present (David Gedge must have owned and discarded more hearts than forty years' worth of Doctor Whos). Try Spangle (okay, I don't know why it's not linking but it's on the "Watusi" album) for mournful moments and Brassneck for "grr" and a good two thirds of the "George Best" album for all in between with a nice sense of self-pitying humour. With that band in your pocket there is close to no romantic disaster you won't be prepared for.

    Ah yeah, you see, back in my time we sometimes used to keep a band or song name in mind for a couple of days and buy their records when we got into town, so I can sometimes be a little oblivious to these problems you youngsters have ... sorry 'bout that! If you do ever find them, try them, though ;)

    Well, the Ukrainian songs are not their own songs (they're Ukrainian folk songs recorded during a Peel Session with the specific purpose, they got the idea because then-guitarist Peter Solowka had Ukrainian roots) :D they do have plenty of upbeat songs, though (though trust me, "Spangle" is not one of them), I'll admit that. Even upbeat songs about heartbreak (lots, in fact, that's why I love them so much, I guess).
