Celebrating artists who are one-hit wonders on the Last.fm charts. Other charts such as the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart are irrelevant!

Celebrating artists who are one-hit wonders on the Last.fm charts. Other charts such as the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart are irrelevant!

The following rules make an artist a one-hit wonder on the Last.fm charts:
· Their hit song has at least 10,000 listeners (or near enough) on their Top Tracks, Last Six Months chart.
· Their hit song has at least 5 times as many listeners as any other song on their Top Tracks, Last Six Months chart.
· Any significant counts for mistagged songs, remixes, and different versions should be added together to determine a more accurate number of listeners of songs.

Mr Sharkey doesn't have over 10,000 plays for his hit song in the last 6 months. Neither do some of the artists connected to the group, but that's because they used to and I haven't cleared them out yet.

You might want to add los del río and their macarena: http://www.last.fm/music/Los+Del+Rio If you notice, almost all songs in their top ten are "different" versions of that one song, so even though they don't have more than 10k plays, they surely are a one hit wonder (and pretty popular some time ago).

a-ha is definitely misplaced in top 10...and mad world is an awesome tune, I agree with gary jules being labelled "one hit wonder" though ;)
